The Australia Awards Fellowships 2026 (Round 21) is a fully funded program by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). so, it aims to build leadership skills and professional capacity among mid-career professionals from developing countries while strengthening partnerships with Australian organizations.
Moreover, the program offers short-term fellowships (2–52 weeks) focused on key areas such as climate action, health, gender equality, digital innovation, and infrastructure. Through collaboration and knowledge exchange, Fellows gain practical experience and new perspectives to drive sustainable development in their home countries.

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA
For Organizations:
- Firstly, must be an Australian legal entity with ABN.
- Then, partner with an eligible overseas counterpart.
- Also, show commitment via co-contribution.
- Moreover, follow all program rules, including 2–52 weeks duration and ≥2 weeks in Australia.
For Fellows:
- Firstly, 18+ and citizen of an eligible developing country.
- Next, cannot hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Also, employed in a relevant field.
- Furthermore, have sufficient English and travel individually.
- Finally, available for full Fellowship and not military personnel.

REQUIREMENTS FELLOWSHIP
- Organization Partnership: Must have an Australian Host Organization (AHO) and an Overseas Counterpart Organization (OCO).
- Full Participation: Fellows must actively engage in all training and project activities.
- Compliance: Must follow DFAT rules and Code of Conduct.
